Our commitment

We place people into services for adults and children who may be vulnerable. Protecting them comes before any placement. Our designated safeguarding lead is [name], contact thomas.michael.rees@gmail.com.

Checks before we put anyone forward

  • Proof of identity and right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS check, with the relevant barred list check where the role is eligible, before any work with children or adults at risk. [Confirm the DBS route and whether the Update Service is used.]
  • Two references covering the last [3] years, and an explanation of gaps in work history.
  • Social Care Wales registration or the route to it, where the role needs it. [Confirm requirements for each role type.]
  • Interview questions that explore attitudes to safeguarding, and a check of qualifications.

If you have a concern

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Concerns about an adult or child at risk should be reported to the local authority safeguarding team (in Wales, the local council's social services), and we will cooperate. Tell us at thomas.michael.rees@gmail.com so that we can act on a worker or client concern. We will refer to the DBS and other bodies where the law requires, and we will not place a person whose suitability is in doubt.

Our own conduct

Our staff are checked, trained and told how to report. We keep records of concerns securely and share them only where necessary. [Add training and review details.]
